The Scorpion HKIII-5035 Shaft Kit XL (6mm 50mm) provides a factory replacement shaft for HK-5035 series helicopter motors when an existing shaft bends or breaks. This motor service component uses hardened steel and an extended geometry: the main shaft measures 10mm in diameter and 119mm in length, with the pinion end ground down to 6mm for 6mm pinion gears. Its physical integration therefore depends on accommodating the main shaft dimensions and the reduced pinion interface.
The kit also fits other brushless motors requiring a 10mm shaft of this length; shortening with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel is possible where needed. Servicing a Scorpion motor requires press equipment because the shaft is a slight press fit in the aluminum front housing and will not slide out after setscrew removal. A bearing press or drill press must be used with the front housing supported in a wood block to prevent warping. Weight including packaging is 60g.
