The Scorpion HKIII-4025 Shaft (6mm 20mm) is supplied as a factory replacement shaft kit for helicopter motors, with a specific application in Henseleit TDF installations. It serves the HK-4025, HKIII-4025 and HKIV-4025 motor series when a shaft needs replacement after bending or breakage. Its stepped geometry combines an 8mm shaft diameter with a pinion end ground down to 6mm. The output shaft length is 20mm, and the reduced end accepts 6mm pinion gears.
Integration into other brushless motors depends on their requiring a 6mm shaft of this length; the shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel where necessary. Servicing requires care because Scorpion motor shafts have a slight press fit in the aluminum front housing. Removing the setscrews alone does not free them: a bearing press or drill press is required, with the housing supported in a wood block to prevent warping. Weight including packaging is 45g.
