The Scorpion HKIII-4035 Shaft (6mm 20mm) provides a factory replacement for a motor shaft damaged by bending or breakage. It is a motor shaft kit, with a hardened steel shaft architecture comprising an 8mm body and a pinion end reduced to 6mm for 6mm pinion gears. The output shaft length is 20mm. Custom made for Henseleit TDF use, the kit serves the HKIII-4035, HK-4035 and HKIV-4035 XL motor series used in TDF helicopters. Its 51g weight includes packaging.
Integration into another brushless motor depends on that motor requiring a 6mm shaft of the appropriate length; the shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel where necessary. In Scorpion motors, the shaft has a slight press fit in the aluminum front housing, so loosening the setscrews does not free it. Removal requires a bearing press or drill press and a wooden support block to prevent housing distortion. The interchangeable HKIV-4035 Shaft (6mm 20mm) supersedes this product.
