The Scorpion HKII-4525 shaft kit (6mm 20mm) is a factory replacement component for the HKII-4525 series of helicopter motors. It provides an extended shaft measuring 10mm in diameter and 77mm in length, with the pinion end reduced to 6mm and a 20mm output section. This configuration is specifically intended for the Henseleit TDF helicopter and permits installation of 6mm pinion gears. Procurement scope is a motor shaft kit rather than a complete aircraft or airframe.
Integration into another brushless motor depends on that motor requiring a 10mm shaft of the specified length; the shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel if necessary. Replacement requires attention to the motor housing: Scorpion shafts have a slight press fit in the aluminum front housing and remain retained after the setscrews are removed. Removal requires a bearing press or drill press, with the housing supported in a wood block to prevent warping. Weight including packaging is 53g.
