The Scorpion HKII-2206-5300KV (2.3mm Shaft) is a brushless motor intended for micro helicopters such as the GAUI EP200 using a 2.3mm output shaft. Its construction combines gold-anodized, CNC-machined aluminum alloy parts with an epoxy-coated stator made from 0.2mm laminations. The electromagnetic assembly has nine stator arms, six magnet poles and a 16 Turn Delta winding using 8-Strand 0.21mm wire. The winding wire is rated at 180 degrees C (356 F), while the N-50EH magnets are rated for operation at 200 degrees C (392 F).
Mechanical integration must accommodate a 27.9 mm (1.098 in) outside diameter, 22.6mm (0.89 in) body length and 32.6 mm (1.28 in) overall shaft length. Motor weight is 34.0 Grams (1.20 oz). The electrical specification combines 5300 RPM / Volt with a maximum 2s LiPo configuration, 18 Amps maximum continuous current and 130 Watts maximum continuous power. Motor timing is 5deg and drive frequency is 8kHz. No-load current is 2.12 Amps at 6 volts, and motor resistance is 0.031 Ohms.
The supplied package contains one motor, three female connectors, three heat-shrink pieces and four M2.5 screws; 3.5mm male bullet connectors are already attached to the motor. No propeller adapter is included. Installation requires sufficient clearance between the pinion and main gear to prevent binding. Bearings require periodic maintenance and replacement, with a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. The two-year materials and workmanship warranty excludes bearings and subsequent motor damage caused by bearing failure. Weight including packaging is 191.8g.
