Product overview
The Scorpion HK5-4035-455kv is a BLDC motor intended for 600 to lightweight 700 size helicopters using 12s–14s LiPo batteries, as well as applications requiring up to 8200 W. Its cooling architecture combines an internal fan with an external centrifugal fan to increase airflow through the motor. The motor has a 40 mm stator diameter, 35 mm stator thickness, 12 stator arms and 10 stator poles, with a 6T YY winding and 1.34 mm motor wire.
Integration dimensions are 49.5 mm × 67.1 mm for the motor body and 5.98 mm × 38 mm for the external shaft; motor weight is 474.8 g. The supplied package contains one motor, three female 4 mm connectors, three heat-shrink pieces and a hardware/accessory pack. Continuous ratings are 95 A and 4220 W, while the 160 A and 8200 W peak ratings are limited to two seconds. Higher battery cell counts require an appropriate gear ratio adjustment.
