Product overview
The Scorpion HK5-4030-475kv is a brushless motor for 570-650mm extreme 3D helicopters, lightweight 700 class helicopters running on 12s-14s, and other applications requiring up to 6900w. Its physical architecture combines a 40 mm diameter, 30 mm thick stator with 12 arms, 10 poles, a 6T Delta winding and 1.3mm motor wire. An internal fan and an external centrifugal fan provide cooling. Installation space must accommodate a 49.5mm x 62.0mm motor body and a 5.98mm x 38mm external shaft.
The motor has a 475KV RPM/Volt rating and weighs 423.0 Grams (14.92oz). Continuous ratings are 80 Amps and 3550 Watts; peak ratings of 146A and 6900 Watts apply for two seconds. The specified LiPo range is 12s-14s, with higher cell counts possible with appropriate gear ratio adjustment.
