Product overview
The Scorpion HK5-3220-1095kv is a BLDC motor intended primarily for helicopters with 400–450 mm blades, including the Align TB40 running on 6s, and other applications requiring up to 2200 W. Its architecture combines a 32 mm stator diameter and 20 mm stator thickness with 12 stator arms, 10 poles, a five-turn delta winding and 1.15 mm motor wire. An internal fan works with an external centrifugal fan to increase airflow through the motor and improve cooling.
Integration requires space for a 40.95 mm × 45.98 mm motor body and a 4.98 mm × 22 mm external shaft; motor weight is 198 g. Continuous ratings are 75 A and 1665 W, with 100 A and 2220 W peaks limited to two seconds. The maximum LiPo cell count is 6s, with higher counts possible through appropriate gear-ratio adjustment. The supplied package contains one motor, three female 4 mm connectors, three heat-shrink pieces and one hardware/accessory pack. Weight including packaging is 210.6 g.
