The Scorpion HK-2520-3500KV is a brushless drive motor for 450-class electric helicopters using 4-cell Li-Po power, including applications such as WARP 360. Its physical construction combines CNC-machined aluminum alloy parts with a gold electro-coated finish, a 12-arm stator and 10 magnet poles. Integration dimensions are a 31.5 mm outside diameter, 39.6 mm body length, 3.5 mm shaft diameter and 57.5 mm overall shaft length. The motor weighs 104 grams; its stator uses 0.2mm laminations, epoxy insulation and wire rated at 180 degrees C.
The supplied package contains one motor, three female connectors, three heat-shrink pieces and four M3 screws, with a packaged weight of 120g. Electrical limits are 55 Amps and 770 Watts continuously, rising to 75A and 1050 Watts for two seconds; the maximum battery configuration is 4s Li-Po. Installation requires sufficient pinion-to-main-gear clearance to prevent binding. Bearings need periodic replacement and a small drop of oil every 5-6 flights. The two-year materials and workmanship warranty excludes bearings and subsequent motor damage caused by bearing failure.
