The Scorpion A2-7422-145kv (70cc / 7350w / 16s) is a BLDC propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV airplanes. It serves airplanes requiring a 70cc equivalent gas engine on 16s LiPo, or other airframes requiring up to 7350w. Continuous power is 4400 Watts, with 70A continuous current subject to power-percentage reduction factors. Peak current is 120A. The 7350 Watts peak power rating applies to intermittent full throttle operation lasting 10–180 seconds, depending on use case and cooling.
Mechanical integration requires space for an 86.4mm x 60.6mm motor body plus a 20mm prop spacer, with a 10mm external shaft. Weight is 948.4g for the motor alone and 1113g including the mount and prop mounting accessories. Its internal architecture combines a 74 mm diameter, 22 mm thick stator with 24 stator arms and 28 magnet poles. The stator uses 0.2mm silicon steel sheets, while the enamel coated copper winding wire is rated above 200C+. Winding specifications are 10T 4Y and 6-Strand 0.33mm wire.
The package supplies an A2-7422 BLDC motor, A2-74 cross mount, A2-74 prop mount, three female 6mm bullet connectors, three stickers and an accessory hardware pack. This is a motor and mounting package for airframe integration. The recommended ESC is the Tribunus III HV-180A ESC SBEC. Recommended propellers are Scorpion 24x10 Carbon or 25x10 Carbon for 16s, and 25x10, 25.5x13 or 26x10 for 14s. Maximum rated LiPo cell count is 16s; higher cell counts are possible with smaller propellers.
