The Scorpion A2-6518-210kv is a BLDC propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV airplanes, designed for 40cc-equivalent installations using 12s LIPO. Its architecture combines a 65 mm diameter stator, 18 mm stator thickness, 12 stator arms and 14 magnet poles with a 9T Delta winding. Construction includes 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and enamel-coated copper wire windings rated above 200C+. The motor has a speed constant of 210 RPM / Volt and uses 13-Strand x 0.41mm motor wire.
Integration requires space for a 77.1 mm x 54.5mm motor body plus an 18mm prop spacer, with a 10mm external shaft. Motor-only weight is 730g, increasing to 827.4g with the prop mount and cross mount. The supplied motor package includes an A2-65 M10 prop hub, stock A-55 / A-65 cross mount, three 6mm female bullet connectors with heat shrink, and an accessory parts bag. Recommended supporting components are Scorpion 21x10 Carbon or 22x10 Carbon propellers for 12s and a Tribunus III 14-120A ESC SBEC.
Continuous power is 3800 Watts, while continuous current is 85A subject to power-percentage reduction factors. Peak current is 120A, and the 5500 Watts peak-power rating applies to intermittent full-throttle use lasting 10–180 seconds, depending on use case and cooling. The maximum rated LIPO configuration is 12s; higher cell counts are possible with smaller propeller usage. Electrical specifications include 1.78 Amps no-load current at 20V, 21.5 mΩ internal resistance and 47.47 µH phase-to-phase inductance measured at 1khz.
