The Caipu Technology (Zhejiang) FS-500 combines four multispectral channels with an 11.9Mpx RGB camera for airborne spectral and visible-image capture. Its vegetation-oriented design includes standard dual red-edge bands. The multispectral sensors use global shutters and 12bit quantization, while the RGB camera uses a rolling shutter and 8bit quantization. At 120m height, multispectral ground resolution is 9.6cm across a 123m × 98m footprint; RGB resolution is 2.86cm across 109m × 61m. These separate footprints and resolutions define the coverage available from each imaging system.
The gimbal-equipped payload measures 182mm × 169mm × 129mm and weighs no more than 900g, establishing its physical integration envelope. It is configured for plug-and-play use on the DJI M400, with X-Port mounting and power, DJI Pilot settings, and a standard 512G solid-state drive. Timed capture supports up to 10Hz, with all channels synchronizing as fast as 100ms. Power consumption is limited to 43W. Operation from -10°C to +50°C requires relative airspeed of at least 1m/s, and humidity must remain at or below 85% RH without condensation.
