Bytech Technology Co., Ltd.’s FORNAX LM10 is a drone-mounted methane inspection payload for rooftop, field and bridge-crossing pipelines, storage tanks and residential gas inspection. Its integrated sensing package combines a methane detection module, a 5-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom and a laser rangefinder reaching 1,200 m. The camera is already fitted, so operation requires no additional lens mounting. Methane detection supports spiral scanning within an altitude of 200 m and penetration through up to five layers of glass for indoor detection.
The 840g aluminum-alloy unit occupies 128mm*158mm*169mm and uses active cooling, a quick-release mounting arrangement and a DJI SkyPort V2 electrical interface. It draws power from the aircraft through the gimbal interface, with ratings of 27.2W, 13.6V and 2A. Supported aircraft are the DJI Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK. Control distance follows the aircraft link. Remote-control app and cloud functions provide live measurements, alarm records and inspection reporting. Operating temperature is −25°C to 55°C; the ±10% measurement accuracy applies over 1,000−40,000 ppm*m.
