Product overview

Shanghai Sinan Navigation’s K922 is a high-precision GNSS positioning and heading module intended for precision agriculture, UAVs, and driver testing and training. It combines the company’s proprietary QC7820 system-on-chip with an incorporated inertial measurement unit (IMU), supporting on-chip calculations that combine satellite and inertial navigation. K922 supports signal reception across all GNSS systems and frequency bands and is compatible with RTK, PPP and SPP positioning modes.

The QC7820 at the core of K922 is Shanghai Sinan Navigation’s fourth-generation GNSS navigation and positioning chip, integrating radio-frequency circuitry, power management, baseband processing and a CPU. The chip uses a 22 nm process and includes a dual-core processor with a main frequency of 800 MHz and a maximum of 1.2 GHz. It also supports high-performance floating-point computation and has 1688 channels. These specifications describe the underlying chip within K922’s positioning and heading architecture.
