Product overview

The CKESC Breeze 40A FOC from Nanchang ChangKong Technology is a motor speed controller for model aircraft propulsion. Its architecture combines field-oriented control, a vfast observer and a switching step-down BEC rated at 5V 3A. The controller measures 47 × 18.5 × 11mm and weighs 24.2g including wiring, providing concrete dimensions for installation planning. Its specified wiring comprises 100mm input leads and 72mm output leads, both 14AWG. Serial control and output are available through customization.

The electrical configuration supports 3~4S power, with a maximum continuous operating current of 40A when cooling is good and a peak rating of 45A on 3S. Protection functions address voltage, startup, stalling, temperature, current, overload, signal loss and battery discharge. These protections have limits: high-throttle stalls can damage the controller, and prolonged heat reduces service life. Installation requires appropriately matched propulsion components and a supply able to absorb regenerated energy. Throttle-range calibration is required before first use and when changing the throttle-signal device.

Low-voltage protectionPrevents motor startupSupply voltage below the permitted value.
High-voltage protectionPrevents motor startupSupply voltage above the permitted value.
Startup protectionLimits startup current and automatically retriesUnsuccessful motor startup.
Stall protectionAttempts to restart the motorMotor stalls during normal operation; a stall at high throttle may damage the ESC.
Overtemperature protectionGradually reduces maximum output power, potentially to 40% of full-throttle power; restores original power after coolingTemperature exceeds 120°C.
Overcurrent protectionLimits peak current to the maximum permitted value
Overload protectionLimits maximum throttle to protect the propulsion systemExcessive motor load detected.
Signal-loss protectionGradually reduces output power, brings throttle below 40% within 3 seconds, then slowly reduces throttle until shutdownControl signal lost for 500ms.
Battery protectionGradually limits output throttle to prevent battery overdischarge3S battery below 9.6V or 4S battery below 12.8V.
Throttle calibrationThrottle-range calibration requiredBefore first use or changing the transmitter or throttle-signal device.
Cooling requirementProvide good cooling; prolonged high-temperature operation accelerates component aging and substantially reduces service life
Propulsion matchingMismatched motors, propellers, loads or incorrect voltage can reduce performance or damage the ESCAircraft installation.
Stalled-propeller responseUse a stable load; promptly close the throttle or disconnect power if the propeller stallsPropeller externally stalled.
Regenerative power requirementSupply must absorb sufficient regenerated energy; battery power is preferred, and rapid throttle reduction should be avoided during DC-supply testing
Output-phase connection restrictionDo not use anti-spark connectors on output phase wires or connect or disconnect them while powered
Output short-circuit restrictionDo not short output phase wires; doing so may damage the ESCResidual ESC energy has not fully discharged.

HK-4015 Shaft Kit (5mm)

By Scorpion

The Scorpion HK-4015 Shaft Kit (5mm) is a replacement component kit for HK-4015 helicopter motors. It supplies a 73.7mm-long, 6mm-diameter shaft with a 5mm output end, plus a washer and two C-clips. Installation involves a press-fit housing interface, while use in other brushless motors depends on matching shaft dimensions.
