The Mugin Sprintlink 5W 1.4GHz 100km Long Range Wireless Video-Data-RC Link w/ SprintTracker pairs a communications module with a ground tracker for bidirectional video, telemetry and RC transmission. Its private COFDM protocol works alongside receiving diversity, dynamic antenna switching, retransmission and adaptive frequency hopping. Video processing supports H.264 and H.265 compression and decompression, 4K video streams and 200ms screen-to-screen latency. FPGA-based AES128 and AES 256 encryption are implemented. The 100km to 150km communication range requires a 16dpi antenna panel and SprintTracker on the ground.
The RC link measures 143.9 × 122.3 × 38mm, weighs 732g and requires 18V~22V, defining its mounting space and electrical integration requirements. Connections comprise Ethernet video plus Serial, PPM/S.bus and USB. SprintTracker provides Ethernet/HDMI video input and output, TCP/UDP protocols and Serial/TTL telemetry connections. Its mechanism has unlimited yaw rotation, -15~135° pitch travel, ±1° yaw stability enhancement accuracy and a maximum turning rate of 300 °/s. Tracker consumption is 30W. Its video and telemetry distances are each 100km; both components operate from -20°C to 50°C.
