The Mugin UAV Potomac 150km 816/1437MHz Video/Data Wireless Transmission System provides broadband connectivity for long-range video feeds and data links. Its point-to-multipoint architecture lets a central hub connect up to 16 hosts, with bandwidth choices of 1.4MHz, 3MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz and 20MHz. Intended applications include power and hydrological line observation and emergency communications for fire protection and security. The equipment forms a communications subsystem comprising separate air and ground units, each weighing 250 grams.
Integration uses two Ethernet ports and two RS232 serial ports, all with PH2.0 interfaces. Typical power consumption is around 30W, and transmitting power is specified as 40±2dBm. Automatic power control keeps the central hub at maximum rated transmission power while adjusting access-node power according to signal quality. A transmitting antenna is required; the receiver antenna is designated as unnecessary.
