The MAD V8015 IPE V1.0 is a single motor for eVTOL UAVs. It is not a complete aircraft or an airframe kit. It is aimed at high-end UAVs for aerial photography, exploration, archaeology, remote sensing, surveying and mapping, and the listed endurance for these uses runs from 30 to 120 minutes. It is offered in a 180KV version and is designed for harsh conditions. The motor has 14 pole pairs and an anticorrosive stator. The varnished wire is rated to 180°C and the magnets to 150°C. It uses two oversized 6901ZZ bearings for longer motor life, and it features centrifugal heat dissipation.
For integration, the motor measures D:88.5 × 44.2 mm and mounts on a D:40 M4×4 hole pattern. Propellers attach through D:20 M3×4 or D:23 M4×4 hole patterns, and the shaft diameter is listed as IN: 12 mm. Power runs through 1000 mm, 14 AWG black silicone leads. The rotor balance is ≤25 mg and the motor balance is ≤10 mg. The motor carries a 500 V disruptive test rating and an IP35 degree of protection.
The recommended VTOL setup pairs the 180KV motor with a Fluxer VTOL 26X7.8 propeller, a MAD AMPX 120A (5-14S) ESC and a 12S LiPo battery at 42-52V. With this setup, each motor produces 6 kg to 8 kg of thrust, and the recommended takeoff weight for a four-rotor layout is 28 kg. In a coaxial configuration, plan for a 25% loss in total thrust.
