Product overview
The Kimpok KP-T1250B is an analog video transmitter for drone FPV links, including long-range inspection, survey and public safety applications. Its 1.2G radio covers 1080MHz–1360MHz through eight channels, with 5W output intended to provide additional link margin. Channel frequencies run from 1080 to 1360MHz in 40MHz steps, supporting coordinated frequency assignments for multiple systems. Higher transmitter power improves link robustness and fade margin without a proportional increase in range. The supplied configuration comprises the transmitter, a user manual and necessary mounting accessories.
The transmitter measures 100x55x20mm, weighs 120g and uses an SMA antenna connector. Aircraft integration must accommodate the module together with cooling, shielding and physical separation from avionics. Its electrical ratings are DC10V~36V input and 1.55A at 12V; power-delivery requirements also specify expected peaks of 10A to 12A+ at 12V. A dedicated, stable, clean and isolated supply is required. Custom active cooling typically involves a large heatsink, heat pipes, a dedicated fan and placement in propeller wash. Without this cooling, thermal failure is rapid and catastrophic.
Antenna matching is a critical installation requirement: significant VSWR mismatch reflects power into the final amplifier, causing immediate and permanent damage. Ground reception requires a high-performance, high-gain directional antenna, such as a large helical antenna or parabolic dish. The RF field requires intensive shielding, significant separation from avionics and ferrite chokes on all cables. System weight and high current consumption substantially reduce flight time. In most jurisdictions, operation requires professional land-mobile or similar licensing with coordinated frequency authorization; amateur licensing may be insufficient. RF exposure requirements also apply. The transmitter carries CE certification and a one-year warranty.
