The HGLRC 5.8G 5.5W VTX is a video transmitter for FPV drones, intended for aerial photography and long-range flight applications. It supports PAL/NTSC video and offers selectable output settings of PIT, 25mW, 1000mW, 2000mW, 3000mW and 5500mW. Its frequency configuration includes 64 standard channels across the A/B/E/F/R/O/L/X groups, with direct frequency entry within 4.9–5.8G. An onboard microphone transmits aircraft sound to the ground in real time, while TBS SmartAudio support allows parameter adjustment through an OSD.
The transmitter accepts DC 7–36V input, specified as 2–8S, and uses an SMA antenna interface and a GH1.25 6P cable interface. Its CNC upper and lower enclosure sections work with a cooling fan to dissipate heat. Buttons provide parameter control, and three sets of LED indicators show power, frequency group and frequency point. Installation uses a 20 × 20 mm mounting pattern with M2 holes; the unit measures 80.33 × 36.06 × 18.37 mm and weighs 68.6 g. The package includes the VTX, a 100 mm RG316 SMA-to-SMA adapter, a 100 mm GH1.25 6-pin single-ended cable and a 60 mm SH1.0 4-pin-to-GH1.25 6-pin double-ended cable.
