Product overview
Hesai FTX is an automotive-grade, fully solid-state short-range lidar sensor designed for wide-angle sensing and blind-spot coverage. It uses electronic scanning, with a maximum horizontal field of view of 180° and a vertical field of view of 140°. Its intended civilian applications include driver assistance, autonomous trucks and taxis, lawn-mowing robots, delivery robots, automated guided vehicles, autonomous mobile robots and drones. Hesai describes its obstacle-detection purpose in terms of nearby pedestrians, e-bikes and strollers.
The FTX configuration with a 180° horizontal field of view provides 140° vertical coverage, a stated range of 20 m at 10% reflectivity, 216 × 192 pixel resolution and a finest angular resolution of 0.62°. It weighs approximately 180 g. The 140° horizontal configuration provides 105° vertical coverage, a stated range of 30 m at 10% reflectivity, 256 × 192 pixel resolution and 0.56° angular resolution in both axes, at approximately 160 g. Both configurations specify a single-return point rate of 492,000 points per second and power consumption below 6 W. These specifications are typical values under specific test conditions and may vary with production batch, firmware, hardware and application conditions; final factory inspection governs the delivered specifications.
Hesai lists drones among the FTX's applications.
FTX uses fully solid-state electronic scanning technology.
Published specifications are typical values under specific test conditions. They may vary with production batches, firmware and hardware versions, and application conditions; Hesai directs readers to final factory inspection.
