The EL18 from FLYSKY Technology Co.,Ltd is a radio transmitter for racing aircraft, fixed-wing aircraft, gliders and multicopters. It uses the AFHDS 3 protocol in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, with 18 channels through internal RF and 32 channels through external RF. Compatible receivers include the classic-version FTr10 and FTr16s, and the enhanced-version FTr8B, FTr12B and Tmr. Its antenna configuration combines a built-in antenna with an external rotatable antenna, while EU transmission power is specified as less than 20 dBm e.i.r.p.
The EL18 combines a 320 × 480 IPS color touchscreen with 4096 channel resolution and support for online updates. It takes two 18650 lithium-ion batteries and uses Type-C USB for both data output and charging. The transmitter measures 205 × 183.7 × 82.9 mm and weighs 726 g. Its specified control distance exceeds 3500 m under open-air, interference-free conditions; that figure applies to the air link under those conditions. The operating temperature range is -10°C to +60°C, with a humidity range of 20% to 95%.
