Product overview

The Flash Hobby XSD7A is a micro brushless electronic speed controller designed for multirotors, including racing applications. Its physical dimensions are 11.14 × 16.26 mm, with a net weight of 1.0g. The hardware combines a Siliconlabs EFM8BB21F16G microcontroller in a QFN-20 package, a dedicated high-speed drive IC and a twisted-pair silicone signal cable. The MCU operates at up to 50MHz, and the ESC supports rotational speeds up to 500,000 rpm. Electrical integration requires 1-2S LiPo input; current ratings are 7A continuous and 10A for bursts lasting no more than 10 seconds.

The XSD7A uses BLHELI_S firmware, with hardware-generated motor PWM and firmware updates through the signal cable. Supported control options include Dshot150, Dshot300, Dshot600, PWM, Oneshot125/42 and Multishot, together with Damped Mode. Damped light provides regenerative braking, while Dshot operation requires no throttle-stroke calibration. Throttle-signal detection is automatic, and normal PWM input uses 1-2ms pulses. When connected through a flight controller running CleanFlight or BetaFlight firmware, BLHeli software can set four ESC parameters at a time.
