Product overview
The FlashHobby Arthur40A 32bit ESC is a brushless motor-control component for RC racing multirotors, with additional support for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. Its slim body measures 11 × 34.5 mm and has a net weight of 6.4 g, defining a compact integration footprint. The physical architecture combines a six-layer thickened PCB, a low-resistance MOSFET and a dedicated MOS driver chip. An aluminum sheet covers the MOSFET for cooling, while the twisted-pair signal wire is intended to reduce crosstalk during signal transmission.
The controller uses a 32-bit ARM Cortex STM32F051 processor running at 48 MHz, with 2048-step throttle resolution and BLHELI_32bit firmware. Its electrical operating range is 3–6S, with a continuous current rating of 40 A. The higher 45 A burst rating applies for ten seconds or less. Control inputs include Dshot150/300/600/1200, PWM, Oneshot125/42 and Multishot, alongside Damped Mode support. PWM input is supported up to 500 Hz, providing a specific frequency limit for integration with the aircraft's control electronics.
Firmware upgrades and configuration changes can use the signal wire. With a USB linker, configurable functions include forward/reverse throttle, bidirectional operation, FPV 3D mode, motor speed, braking, PWM frequency and an inlet angle speed setting. The onboard RGB LED color and beep settings are also programmable. Built-in sensing covers temperature, output power and output current, with programmable protection. A current meter supports on-screen-display current indication, and double voltage protection covers the MCU hardware, driver circuit and MOSFET.
