Product overview

The BWSENSING BW-VG525C is a dynamic inclination sensor with CAN output for pitch and roll measurement. Its applications include unmanned aircraft, electro-optical gimbals and platform stabilization, as well as unmanned underwater vessels, large ships, autonomous driving, special-purpose vehicles and wind turbine tower sway monitoring. The inclination range covers pitch through ±90º and roll through ±180º. Dynamic accuracy is 0.1°, while static accuracy and resolution are each 0.01°.

The sensor measures 60 × 59 × 29 mm and weighs 280g including its cable; weight including packaging is 360g. Its processing combines high-performance Kalman filtering with nonlinearity compensation, orthogonality compensation and a special bias-tracking algorithm for drift elimination. The temperature range extends from -40°C to +85°C. Shock resistance is 2000g for a duration of 0.5ms, with three shocks per axis. Mean time between failures is ≥30000 hours.
