Company overview
AutoFlight develops electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for cargo logistics and passenger transport. Its research and manufacturing center is in China, with a European airworthiness center in Germany and a North American business center in the United States. Its compound-wing aircraft combine vertical takeoff and landing with fixed-wing cruise. The company develops flight controls, avionics, electric propulsion systems and lightweight, high-strength carbon-fibre composite structures, following a development strategy that progresses from smaller to larger aircraft and from cargo to passenger transport.
The V2000CG is AutoFlight’s fully electric, autonomous cargo aircraft, with a maximum takeoff weight of 2 tonnes and a stated range of 200 kilometres. It is designed for low-altitude logistics, urgent supply transport and emergency rescue. On 22 March 2024, the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s East China Regional Administration awarded the V2000CG unmanned aircraft system a type certificate. AutoFlight’s documented eVTOL applications include island logistics, transport for organ transplantation, emergency supply delivery and commercial logistics.
AutoFlight’s Shengshilong passenger aircraft carries five people and has a cruise speed of up to 200 kilometres per hour. In 2023, it completed a single-charge flight of 250.3 kilometres. The company’s passenger aircraft program draws on engineering, manufacturing and operational experience from its cargo aircraft, with cargo flight data intended to support passenger aircraft airworthiness work.
