Company overview

AS Vision Limited is based in Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, and develops multi-camera aerial surveying and mobile mapping solutions. Its work covers traditional aerial photogrammetry, oblique aerial imaging, UAV mapping and land-vehicle mobile mapping. Its traditional photogrammetric camera range includes AMC SS, AMC236, AMC DD and the AMC180 series, with built-in Applanix POS positioning and orientation systems. These systems can reduce lateral flight overlap and reduce or eliminate ground control points for orthophoto production; use of direct georeferencing workflows depends on the accuracy of the POS system.

The company's AMC Panoblique panoramic oblique camera was introduced in 2017 as a patented product for installation on helicopters and other rotary-wing aircraft, supporting oblique survey flights at 3–8 cm ground sampling distance. It uses 12 camera groups combining downward-looking imaging with 360-degree panoramic oblique coverage. The design replaces the conventional five-camera oblique configuration and supports a change from 80% + 80% image overlap to the traditional 60% + 30% pattern to improve capture efficiency.

AS Vision Limited's civilian applications include 3D city modelling for smart cities and rapid airborne and UAV orthophoto production for emergency response. For indoor surveying, it uses the Applanix TIMMS mobile mapping system to capture three-dimensional data for building information modelling. Its development work also includes GNSS/inertial models for autonomous systems and transportation tracking, working with CASW Instruments Ltd and Applanix Inc. Alongside its own AMC cameras, the company distributes Sensefly and Pix4D products as part of its photogrammetry offering.
