The ZHTAERO Keel is an ultralight frame for industrial drones. It is supplied as a frame rather than a complete flight platform. The structure combines carbon fiber composite with aviation aluminum. In the arms, center cabin and other high-stress areas, multi-layer cross-stacked carbon fiber gives strength and stiffness in every direction. The frame weighs 2.31 kg and measures 932 × 942 × 540 mm (L×W×H). It is sized for 32-inch propellers, and the recommended power system is the purpose-designed ZHT T10. The original dragon claw quick-release structure lets one person carry and deploy the frame.
Much of the design focuses on integration space. The Keel has a larger bottom payload space than traditional drones. It also has reserved openings for power interfaces, USB, cable routing and expansion ports. The self-developed K63E power module includes an ESC installation position. It combines six functions: power module, step-down module, ESC signal, analog ammeter, optocoupler control and LED light. The frame takes a 14S 28Ah-42Ah power supply and uses an XT90 power plug. External batteries sit in a symmetrical dual-bay layout and can be swapped quickly to keep missions running.
