It formed part of XAG’s early development of technology for civilian drone applications, following the XAircraft team’s earlier X450 and X650 multirotor aircraft for model aircraft enthusiasts and aerial photography users. SuperX belongs to this earlier stage of the company’s history, preceding its subsequent focus on agricultural drones and robotics.
