Product overview
The Viewpro Q40TIRM-HD is a UAV gimbal camera from Shenzhen Viewpro Technology Co., Ltd., combining visible-light imaging, thermal imaging, object tracking and laser ranging. Its visible camera uses a 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor with 2.13MP effective resolution, Full HD 1920×1080 imagery and 40x optical zoom across a 4.25–170mm focal range. The thermal channel pairs a 1280×1024 detector with 12μm pixels and a 50mm athermal prime lens. This configuration supports observation for civilian tasks such as search and rescue, infrastructure inspection and forest monitoring. Thermal viewing includes 1x–4x digital zoom and white, black and pseudo-color palettes; temperature measurement is not supported.
The laser rangefinder measures distance to the object at the center of the screen. Its target-dependent ranging capability is at least 5km for a large target such as a building, at least 3km for a 2.3×2.3m car target and at least 1.5km for a 1.75×0.75m human target. These typical values require line-of-sight visibility of at least 8km, a diffuse reflection rate of at least 0.3 and humidity no higher than 80%. The rangefinder uses a 1535nm pulsed laser, operates at 1–10Hz and specifies typical RMS accuracy of ≤±1m. EO/IR tracking requires minimum object contrast of 5%, SNR 4 and target sizes from 32×32 to 128×128 pixels.
Integration requires a 4S–6S supply of 14.8–25.2V; working voltage is 16V, with average power consumption of 12.8W and a maximum of 24W. Operating temperature spans -20°C to +50°C. Control options include PWM, TTL, S.BUS, TCP and UDP, while optional video outputs provide IP streaming or 1080p 30fps SDI. Local storage accepts a class 10, FAT32 TF card up to 512G for JPG images and 1080p 30fps MP4 recordings. The Standard Version measures 146.9×145×228.8mm; the Viewport version with Viewport measures 146.9×145×237.8mm and weighs 1662±10g. Controllable pitch spans -45° to 125°, with continuous yaw rotation specified as ±360°×N.
