The UING Intelligent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. V8 is a complete fixed-wing UAV with vertical takeoff and landing capability. Intended applications include oil and gas pipeline inspection, maritime anti-smuggling, border patrol, forest fire prevention inspection, reconnaissance, emergency rescue, highway patrol and aerial surveying. Its carbon-fiber airframe has a wingspan of 400.5cm, a length of 226.3cm and a height of 55.2cm. The aircraft supports quick assembly and disassembly, with a transport case measuring 184cm × 72cm × 60cm.
Selectable mission equipment includes single-, dual- and triple-optical gimbal payloads and an orthophotography camera. Wireless link options comprise 20km, 50km and 150km star configurations and a 100km mesh configuration. The V8 has a maximum payload of 10kg and a maximum takeoff weight of 30kg; its 4h endurance applies with a 5kg payload. Cruise speed is 85km/h, maximum level-flight speed is 33m/s, telemetry and control radius is 20km–150km+, and service ceiling is 4500m. Wind resistance is limited to force 6 or below in fixed-wing mode and force 5 or below in rotor mode.
