Product overview

The ToolkitRC M8D is a dual-channel balance charger for rechargeable battery packs used in RC cars, model aircraft and drones. Its two independent outputs support lithium packs with 1–8 cells in series, covering LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, lithium-ion and LTO batteries, alongside NiMH packs with 1–20 cells and lead-acid packs with 1–12 cells. A 3.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen has a 320×480-pixel resolution and an 80° adjustable flip mechanism. The charger measures 130×97×42mm and weighs 450g.

The M8D requires a 10–49V input, with a maximum input current of 60A. In asynchronous mode, charging output is rated at 800W per channel with a maximum current of 30A per channel; synchronous mode provides up to 1600W at a maximum of 50A. Balance current is specified at 2000mA at 4.2V. Normal-mode discharge is rated at 40W at 10A. Two cooling fans adjust their speed according to operating temperature and power.

TF card logging supports storage and analysis of charging and discharging data. The USB-C port provides up to 65W at 5–20V when the charger's input voltage is within 10–36V, and it also serves for firmware upgrades. The standard box contains the M8D charger, a USB-C cable, an XT90 input cable, a manual and a screen protector. Available package configurations are the M8D alone and the M8D+ADP750 Kit.
