Product overview
The T-MOTOR A8-X is a modular propulsion system for agricultural drones, recommended for quadcopters carrying 10 L of liquid and hexacopters carrying 16 L. Recommended take-off weights are 22–30 kg for quadcopters and 30–42 kg for hexacopters. The specified configuration combines an A8-X KV115 motor, a 14S FOC 80A electronic speed controller and MF3119P polymer folding propellers measuring 31 inches (784 mm). A motor-and-ESC purchase option without propellers is also available. The system fits 40 mm tubes and uses a recommended 12–14S LiPo battery.
Rated thrust is 5–7 kg per axis, with a specified maximum of 19 kg. System weight, including wires and propellers, is 1180 g ±2%. The ESC supports PWM/CAN control and DRONE CAN, UAV CAN and CUBE CAN protocols, with a maximum voltage of 61 V and no BEC. Its 80 A peak current applies only for short periods in an open environment at temperatures of 60°C or below. Recommended ambient operation is -30°C to 50°C. The system has an IPX6 protection rating; after rinsing mud or sand from the motor with clean water, allow it to stand for one hour so surface moisture dries before use.
