Product overview
The AXR 8816 SSG-D is a standard servo for model steering, control-surface movement and mechanical actuation. Its physical configuration combines a brushless motor, stainless steel gears and two bearings in a 35.5 × 15 × 29.9 mm body weighing 42 g. A 300 mm cable provides connection reach. Integration requires matching the power supply, PWM signal, mounting-hole arrangement and servo-horn connection, with the final mounting drawing and interface version established before fabricating installation hardware.
The servo accepts 4.8–8.4 V and uses PWM control at 333 Hz. At 8.4 V, it delivers 16 kg·cm stall torque and a no-load speed of 0.1 s/60°, while rated torque is 8 kg·cm. Stall torque cannot serve as a continuous-load rating. Control setup also requires attention: the reference pulse is 1520 µs, but the angle mapping places zero at 1500 µs. Establish neutral position and usable travel for the delivered version, and provide power headroom for transient current.

| Stall torque limitation | Stall torque is not a continuous-load rating; continuous-load selection must account for rated torque and duty cycle.Continuous-load selection. |
| Voltage coverage | The permitted supply range does not imply performance measurements at every voltage.Operation within the 4.8–8.4 V supply range. |
| Neutral position and usable travel | The reference pulse is 1520 µs, while the position midpoint is 1500 µs; neutral position and usable travel require confirmation for the controller and delivered version.Controller and delivered servo version. |
| Mounting dimensions | Drawing and specification dimensions may use different datums; confirm the final mounting drawing and interface version before fabricating mounts.Mount fabrication and interface version. |
| Integration and commissioning | Check power, signal pulse widths, mounting holes and servo-horn connection. Establish neutral position, motion direction and mechanical travel before progressively applying the working load.Initial commissioning with the load removed or limited. |
| Power and mechanical integration constraints | Allow supply headroom for transient current; avoid cable voltage drop, reversed polarity and sustained loading against mechanical stops.Transient current demand and mechanical travel limits. |
