Product overview
The SS-LD-AS01 is a solid-state LiDAR sensor from Shenzhen SMiTSense Technology Co., Ltd., an intelligent sensing company whose product focus includes LiDAR, flexible pressure sensors and other smart sensing devices. Developed for drone applications, the sensor combines hybrid-stacked integrated single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technology with VCSEL lasers. It uses direct time-of-flight (dToF) ranging to measure distance and produce 3D images. The unit weighs 4 g and measures 30 × 20 × 7 mm.
The SS-LD-AS01 can support drone altitude stabilization and leveling, assisted focusing, security monitoring, navigation and obstacle avoidance. These applications use its distance measurement and 3D image output as sensing inputs. Within the wider AS series, SMiTSense also combines solid-state LiDAR with AI algorithms to capture and identify objects or human movement trajectories within the detection range, supporting civilian drone sensing and monitoring tasks.
