Product overview
The HAKRC 5166 8S 100A ESC is an airplane electronic speed controller built with separate control and power boards in a stacked assembly. Its power board uses a six-layer PCB with 2oz copper, supplemented by copper strips. The hardware combines 40V MOS devices in a four-parallel arrangement, Japanese Murata capacitors and an industrial-grade DC-DC converter. Control electronics comprise an EFM8BB51F16G chip running at up to 50MHz and an FD6288Q three-in-one driver. PCB construction uses resin plugging and a double pad design.
Aircraft integration must accommodate a 56.74*33.92 mm component with a net weight of 19.53g. The ESC accepts 2S-8S LiPo input and incorporates a 5V 5A BEC with an 8A maximum. Its firmware is E-X-40-Rev. 16.7 - Multi, and supported control protocols are PWM, Oneshot125, Oneshot42, Multishot, Dshot150, Dshot300 and Dshot600. The continuous-current rating is 100A with a stated duration of 2min19s in a closed incubator test; peak current is 120A. These electrical ratings apply to the ESC component.
