The FlyColor X-Cross BL-32-slim is an electronic speed controller for FPV racing multirotors. It is a drive-electronics component, not a flight platform or an airframe kit. The current variant is the X-Cross BL-32-36A. It is rated for 3-5S input, 36A continuous current and 42A for 10 seconds, and is listed for 170-330 multirotor builds. An ARM 32-bit Cortex MCU running at up to 48MHz handles control, using BLHeli-32 firmware in the Flycolor_X_Cross_BL_32 build. Damped light regenerative braking improves efficiency and slows the motor faster when the throttle is reduced. FlyColor states that this gives noticeably better stability and agility.
The board measures 35x11x7mm and weighs 8.4 g. Its very narrow shape is meant for racing drones with ultra-narrow arms and reduces drag in flight. An aluminum alloy heatsink slows temperature rise. The twisted-pair silicone signal wires reduce interference in the signal line. When powered on, the ESC detects the throttle signal type automatically. It supports standard PWM (1-2ms), Oneshot125 (125-250us), Oneshot42 (41.7-83.3us), Multishot (5-25us) and all DShot signals up to DShot1200. The unit has no BEC. A Chinese/English user manual for the multi-axis ESC is available, and no configuration software is currently listed for it.
