Product overview
The Scorpion HKIV-4025-1100KV (5mm shaft) is a BLDC motor for helicopter propulsion, with a shaft configuration intended for pinions using a 5mm shaft, including the Mikado Logo 550. Its HKIV-40 family targets 500-600 size models. The motor combines a 40 mm stator diameter and 25 mm stator thickness with 12 stator arms, 10 magnet poles and a 3+3 Turn Delta winding. The winding uses a single 1.7 mm strand, and the motor constant is 1100KV RPM/Volt.
Installation dimensions are a 49.50 mm outside diameter, 54 mm body length and 89.9 mm overall shaft length; the specified shaft diameter is 4.98 mm. Electrical limits are 6s LiPo, 100 Amp maximum continuous current and 2220 Watt maximum continuous power. The 130 Amps and 2886 Watts peak ratings each apply for five seconds. Supplied equipment comprises one motor, three 4mm AMASS connectors, three heat-shrink pieces, four M3 screws and four M4 screws. Motor timing is 5deg and drive frequency is 8kHz.
