The Scorpion HKIII-4025 shaft kit 5mm is a replacement component for HK-4025 and HKIII-4025 series helicopter motors, including those used in newer T-600 helicopters. It provides a replacement for a shaft bent or broken during a landing. Its physical configuration combines an 8mm shaft body with an overall length of 84.9mm and a pinion end ground down to 5mm. That reduced end accommodates 5mm pinion gears while retaining the larger diameter along the shaft body.
Integration into another brushless motor depends on that motor requiring a 5mm shaft of this length; the shaft can be shortened with a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel if necessary. In Scorpion motors, the shaft is a slight press fit in the aluminum front housing, so removing the setscrews does not free it. Removal requires a bearing press or drill press, with the housing supported in a wooden block to prevent warping. Weight including packaging is 45g.
