Product overview
The Scorpion HK5-4015-1125kv is a BLDC motor intended for helicopters with 450mm–500mm blades operating on 6s, with additional applications described up to 2440 W. Its physical architecture combines a 40 mm diameter, 15 mm thick stator with 12 stator arms, 10 stator poles and a 5T Delta winding using 1.4 mm wire. An internal fan works alongside an external centrifugal fan to move cooling air through the motor. The motor speed constant is 1125KV RPM/Volt.
Integration must accommodate a 49.5mm x 45.40mm motor body, a 5.98mm x 32mm external shaft and a motor weight of 257.8 grams. Continuous ratings are 68 A and 1500 W; the 100 A and 2440 W peak ratings each apply for two seconds. The LiPo specification is 6s–8s, with higher cell counts requiring appropriate gear ratio adjustment. Supplied as a motor component, the package includes three female 4mm connectors, three heat-shrink pieces and one hardware/accessory pack. Weight including packaging is 400g.
