The Scorpion HK-4035 Shaft Kit (8mm 30mm) supplies a factory replacement shaft for all HK-4035 series Scorpion helicopter motors, addressing shaft damage such as bending or breakage after a landing. The hardened steel shaft measures 8mm in diameter and 94.7mm in length. Each kit contains one HK4035 motor shaft, one washer and two C-clips, making it a motor repair component kit. Weight including packaging is 40.25g; this figure includes the packaging rather than describing the shaft alone.
Fitment to other brushless motors depends on their requiring an 8mm shaft of the stated length. Where necessary for another motor, the shaft can be shortened using a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel. In Scorpion motors, the shaft is a slight press fit into the aluminum front housing and will not slide out simply after removing the setscrews. Shaft removal requires a bearing press or drill press, with the front housing supported in a block of wood to prevent housing warping.
