The Scorpion HK-4015 Motor Bearing Kit provides a pair of original-equipment replacement bearings for Scorpion HK-4015 Series motors. Its purpose is motor maintenance, including replacement of bearings damaged after a crash or landing in dirt. Each bearing has a 13mm outside diameter, a 6mm inside diameter and a thickness of 5mm. The supplied configuration is two bearings, with a stated weight of 12g including packaging. These components replace the stock bearings within the motor housings.
Integration requires attention to the snug fit between each bearing and its motor housing. Removing an old bearing may require gentle tapping, but a new bearing must be pressed into position through the outer race. Tapping a replacement into place can dent its ball races and ruin it. Pressure on the inner race can also damage the bearing and cause premature failure. These handling requirements are material installation limitations for the replacement kit.
