The Scorpion HK-3026 Shaft Kit provides factory replacement shafts for HK-3026 series helicopter motors when a shaft bends or breaks. The hardened steel shaft measures 5mm in diameter and 74mm long, defining its physical fit within the motor. Compatibility covers newer HK-3026 motors with a C-clip retainer and older versions with a retaining collar secured by set screws. The kit has a weight of 15.52g including packaging and serves as a motor repair component.
Integration with other brushless motors depends on their requiring a 5mm shaft of the same length. Where necessary for another motor, the shaft can be shortened using a Dremel tool and cut-off wheel. In Scorpion motors, the shaft forms a slight press fit with the aluminum front housing, so removing the set screws alone does not release it. Removal requires a bearing press or drill press, with the front housing supported in a block of wood to prevent warping.
