The Scorpion A2-10025-120kv is a BLDC propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV airplanes, supplied as a motor and mounting accessory package. It serves airplanes requiring a 150cc–180cc gas-engine equivalent on 16s LIPO, or other airframes requiring up to 13,500w. Its architecture combines a 100 mm-diameter, 25 mm-thick stator with 24 stator arms and 28 magnet poles. The motor uses 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and enamel-coated copper windings rated above 200C+, with an 8T 4Y winding and 10-Strand x 0.41mm motor wire.
Installation requires space for the 112.2mm x 64.25mm motor body plus a 30mm prop spacer; the external shaft diameter is 10mm. Weight is 1611.6g for the motor alone and 1845.7g with the mount and prop mount accessories. The package includes one selectable A2-100 cross mount, one A2-100 prop mount specified as 6x M5@34mm, three female 6mm bullet connectors, three stickers and an accessory hardware pack. Cross mount options comprise 70mm and 130mm stock mounts, a 100–120cc mount and a 150–170cc mount.
Electrical ratings are 140A continuous current, 8300 Watts continuous power, 210A peak current and 13,500 Watts peak power. Continuous current is subject to power-percentage reduction factors. Peak power applies to intermittent full throttle for 10–180 seconds, depending on use case and cooling. The maximum rated LiPo configuration is 16s, with higher cell counts possible using smaller propellers. Recommended equipment comprises the Tribunus III 14-320A ESC SBEC and, for 16s, the Scorpion 31x12 Carbon propeller for a 150cc equivalent or 32x14 Carbon for a 180cc equivalent.
