The Scorpion A-7445-140kv (V2) is an airplane propulsion motor for freestyle and UAV applications, including airframes requiring a 150cc–170cc equivalent gas engine or up to 10,000w of power. Its construction combines rotor magnets with 0.2mm silicon steel stator sheets and single-strand enamel-coated copper windings rated above 200C+. The motor has 24 stator arms, 28 magnet poles and a 10mm external shaft. Integration space must accommodate an 86.80 mm x 85.30mm motor body. Weight is 1688g for the motor alone and 1808g including prop mount accessories.
Electrical integration centers on a 140 RPM / Volt motor rated for 12s–14s LiPo operation, with the Tribunus III 14-220A ESC SBEC recommended. Continuous ratings are 136A and 7100 Watts; peak ratings reach 192A and 10000 Watts. Peak power applies to intermittent full throttle lasting 5–60 seconds, depending on use and cooling. Propeller recommendations differ between 12s and 14s configurations. Installation must provide baffled airflow directly to the ESC.
