The Scorpion A-3017-600kv is an aircraft propulsion motor intended for 6s-powered 48-inch acrobatic airplanes and suitable UAVs. Recommended aircraft weights are 1.3kg - 2.18kg for acrobatic applications and 2.3kg - 5.03kg for single-engine sport or UAV use. Its architecture combines a 30.0mm-diameter, 17mm-thick stator, 12 stator arms, 14 magnet poles and a 9T/10T Delta winding. Installation planning must accommodate a 36.60mm × 36.5mm motor body and 5.98mm external shaft. The motor weighs 136g, or 154g with the mount and accessories.
The package supplies one motor with propeller washer and nut, a 44/58mm cross mount with screws, three female bullet connectors with heatshrink, 16 thrust spacing washers, four M3x10 screws, four M3x16 screws and three stickers. The recommended ESC is the Tribunus 06-80A ESC SBEC. Propeller recommendations are 12x6 or 12x7 for efficiency, 13x6 as optimal, and 13x6.5 or 14x6 for high altitude. Continuous ratings are 25A and 555 Watts; peak ratings are 43A and 962 Watts. Peak power is limited to intermittent full throttle for 5–60 seconds, depending on use case and cooling. Higher cell counts are possible with smaller propellers.
