Product overview
The RadioLink R16SM provides 16 receiver output channels and built-in telemetry for integration with a flight controller. Its communication system uses FHSS spread spectrum and 67-channel pseudo-random frequency hopping, with a stated airborne control distance of 3000 meters. The supplied hardware comprises one receiver, one flight controller connection cable and one packing bag. This is a receiver component for an integrated control system; the package is neither a complete flight platform nor an airframe kit.
Electrical integration uses a 3V to 12V input and selectable CRSF or SBUS output. In CRSF mode, a steady blue LED identifies the mode, and the receiver connects or is soldered to the flight controller’s TELEM1/TELEM2 port. SBUS mode uses a steady red LED and connections to RC IN and TELEM1/TELEM2. These interfaces define the receiver’s installation requirements within the aircraft electronics system. Transmitter support includes the specified RadioLink T-series aircraft transmitters and surface transmitters.
Telemetry includes real-time signal strength and model battery voltage. With a flight controller and GPS connected, the transmitter can display position, speed, heading, satellite count, distance, attitude, battery information and flight mode. SBUS restricts transmitted telemetry to longitude, latitude and battery voltage, making CRSF the recommended option for richer information. Receiver voltage telemetry is unavailable because of CRSF protocol limitations. When paired with the T16D transmitter, the system also supports real-time voice information with customizable broadcast content and format.
