Product overview
Nanjing Airfly Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.’s HeroX combines the optical-fiber transmission ground unit, screen and UAV controls in one handheld assembly. It receives high-definition aircraft video in real time and overlays battery status, aircraft attitude, GPS information, flight-control mode and arming state. Fifteen physical channels provide aircraft control. The fiber connection works with the manufacturer’s F1, F2 and F3 air units over 0–30 km, with an 80 km configuration available through customization. HeroX is ground-control hardware rather than a flight platform or airframe kit.
The Linux-based controller provides several paths for integration. A standard FC optical port connects the fiber air unit, while RJ45 allows simultaneous video display on a connected PC or ground station. A GH1.25-8Pin connector carries SBUS, UART and Ethernet signals for aircraft and peripheral control. Mavlink and CRSF support accompanies data integration with flight controls including PIX, APM and Betaflight. Two Type-C ports have separate storage and charging roles, and the controller can also supply power to external equipment when needed.
The aviation-aluminum-alloy body weighs 0.8 kg and incorporates a 7-inch, 1920 × 1200 touchscreen with maximum brightness of 2000 nit. Its battery configuration consists of four removable 18650 lithium-ion cells rated at 3500 mAh each, providing nine hours of operation when fully charged. Charging supports PD at 45 W and QC, with 80% charge reached in one hour. A digital battery readout and power-bank supply support field use. Dust and splash protection applies to the peripheral interfaces.
