Product overview
Nanchang Changkong Technology Co., Ltd.'s CKESC Breeze 6S 45A FOC BEC controls brushless propulsion for fixed-wing aircraft. Its FOC drive uses vfast observer technology, with low noise and improved throttle linearity among its stated characteristics. The controller measures 55 × 18.5 × 8.5 mm and weighs 25.1 g including wiring. Its configuration incorporates a 5 V, 3 A switching step-down BEC, 100 mm input leads and 70 mm output leads, both in 14 AWG. Serial control and output are customizable.
Electrical integration requires a 4–6S supply and good cooling for the 45 A maximum continuous rating. The separate 50 A peak specification carries a 3S condition. Protection covers voltage faults, unsuccessful starts, stalls, excess temperature, current, load and signal loss. High-throttle stalls can still damage the controller, and regenerative energy requires a supply capable of absorbing it. Throttle calibration is required for initial use and transmitter changes. Motor, propeller and voltage matching remain essential, while DC-supply testing requires avoiding rapid throttle reductions.

| Undervoltage protection | Prevents motor startup.Supply voltage below the permitted value. |
| Overvoltage protection | Prevents motor startup.Supply voltage above the permitted value. |
| Startup protection | Limits starting current and automatically retries startup.Unsuccessful motor startup. |
| Stall protection and limitation | Attempts to restart; a stall at high throttle may damage the ESC.Motor stalls during normal operation. |
| Overtemperature protection | Gradually reduces maximum output power, potentially to 40% of full-throttle power; restores the original power after cooling.Temperature exceeds 120°C. |
| Overcurrent protection | Restricts peak current to the limit. |
| Overload protection | Limits maximum throttle to protect the propulsion system.Excessive motor load detected. |
| Signal-loss protection | Progressively reduces output power, lowers throttle below 40% within 3 seconds, then slowly reduces throttle until shutdown.Control signal lost for 500 ms. |
| Throttle calibration | Throttle travel must be calibrated for accurate control.First use or replacement of the transmitter or throttle-signal device. |
| Control-signal requirements | Signal pulse width and frequency must meet the controller's requirements. |
| Connector restrictions | Anti-spark connectors may be used on the power input with reliable connections; do not use them on output phase wires or connect or disconnect those wires while powered.Power and motor-phase connections. |
| Power-supply requirements | Requires stable supply voltage; batteries should provide a high discharge rate and good low-temperature discharge performance.Battery-powered operation. |
| Cooling requirement | Good heat dissipation is required; prolonged high temperature accelerates component aging and substantially reduces service life.Sustained operation at high temperature. |
| Output short-circuit restriction | Do not short the output phase wires; doing so may damage the ESC.Before residual electrical energy has dissipated. |
| Motor, propeller and load matching | Mismatched motors, propellers, non-propeller or varying loads, or incorrect voltage may impair performance or damage the ESC.Aircraft propulsion integration. |
| Stall response requirement | Use a stable load; promptly close the throttle or disconnect power after an external propeller stall to prevent excessive stall current from damaging the ESC.Propeller externally stalled. |
| Regenerative-energy requirement | The power source must absorb sufficient returned energy to avoid ESC damage. Battery power is preferred; avoid rapid throttle reductions during DC-supply testing.Regenerative operation; particularly testing with a DC power supply. |
