Product overview
The CKESC Breeze 55A FOC from Nanchang Changkong Technology is an electronic speed controller for model-aircraft brushless propulsion. Its field-oriented drive uses vfast observer technology and offers low noise and improved throttle linearity. The controller supports 3–4S power and incorporates a 5V 3A switching step-down BEC. Serial control and output can be customized. Throttle travel must be calibrated before first use and before changing the transmitter or other throttle-signal source to achieve accurate control.
The controller measures 47 × 18.5 × 11mm and weighs 24.2g including wiring. Its input leads are 100mm long and its output leads are 72mm long, both using 14AWG wire. Maximum continuous operating current is 55A with good cooling, while the 60A peak rating applies to a 3S supply. Integration requires suitable motor, propeller and voltage matching, together with a stable load. Mismatched propulsion components or incorrect voltage can reduce performance or damage the controller; prolonged high-temperature operation substantially shortens service life.
Above 120°C, thermal protection gradually reduces maximum output power, potentially to 40% of full-throttle power, and restores original power after cooling. After 500ms of signal loss, output power decreases, throttle falls below 40% within 3 seconds, and then declines slowly to shutdown. Battery protection progressively limits throttle below 9.6V for 3S or 12.8V for 4S. A high-throttle stall can damage the controller; a blocked propeller requires prompt throttle closure or power disconnection. The supply must absorb regenerative energy; battery power is preferred, and DC-supply testing requires avoiding rapid throttle reductions.
